महाप्राण जोगेंदर नाथ मंडल
महाप्राण जोगेंदर नाथ मंडल नमोशूद्र समाज के एक महान और ऐतिहासिक व्यक्तित्व का नाम है.इनकी सहायता से ही बाबासाहेब डा.आंबेडकर बंगाल विधान-परिषद से चुनकर संविधान-सभा में आ पाए थे.जिसका नतीजा रहा कि उन्होंने एक ऐसे संविधान की रचना की,जिससे करोड़ों लोगों की जिंदगी बदल गई.भारत के विभाजन के बाद जोगेंदर नाथ मंडल पाकिस्तान के पहले कानून और श्रम मंत्री बने.बाद में पाकिस्तानी राजनेताओं से गहरे मतभेद के कारण वे वापस भारत आ गए और बाबासाहेब द्वारा स्थापित ''शिड्यूल कास्ट फेडरेशन(SCF'' में सक्रिय हो गए.विधि मंत्री के रूप में डा. आंबेडकर की व्यस्तता के कारण SCF का सारा काम मंडल जी ही देखते थे.

Dr.Bhadant Anand Kausalyayanडॉ. भदन्त आनन्द कौशल्यायन जी की १०६ वी जयंती
५ जनवरी, २०११ को डॉ. भदन्त आनन्द कौशल्यायन जी की १०६ वी जयंती है? वे प्राचीन बुद्ध कालीन भारत में प्रचलित पालि भाषा के मूर्धन्य विद्वान थे, इसके साथ ही वे पूरे जीवन घूम घूमकर राष्ट्र भाषा हिंदी का भी प्रचार प्रसार करते रहे. वह १३ साल राष्ट्र भाषा प्रचार समित्ती, वर्धा के प्रधानमंत्री रहे.उनका जन्म ०५ जनवरी,१९०५ को अविभाजित पंजाब प्रान्त के मोहाली के निकट सोहना नामक गाव में एक खत्री परिवार में हुआ था. उनके पिता लाला रामशरण दास अम्बाला में अध्यापक थे. भदन्त जी के बचपन का नाम हरिनाम था. १९२० में भदन्त जी ने १०वी की परीक्षा पास की, १९२४ में १९ साल की आयु में भदन्त जी ने स्नातक की परीक्षा पास की. जब वे लाहौर में थे तब वे उर्दू में भी लिखते थे.
भारत के स्वतंत्रता आन्दोलन में भी भदन्त जी ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया. महात्मा गाँधी, पुरुषोतम दास टंडन, पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरु, बाबा साहब डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर, महापंडित राहुल संकृत्यायन, भिक्षु जगदीश कश्यप, भिक्षु धर्मरक्षित आदि लोगो के साथ मिलकर वे भारत की आज़ादी की जंग में सक्रिय रहे. वे श्रीलंका में जाकर बौद्ध भिक्षु हुए. वे श्रीलंका की विद्यालंकर विश्वविद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग में अध्यक्ष भी रहे.
भदन्त जी ने जातक की अत्थाकथाओ का ६ खंडो में पालि भाषा से हिंदी में अनुवाद किया, धम्मपद का हिंदी अनुवाद के आलावा अनेक पालि भाषा की किताबो का हिंदी भाषा में अनुवाद किया. साथ ही अनेक मौलिक ग्रन्थ भी रचे जैसे - अगर बाबा न होते, जातक कहानिया,भिक्षु के पत्र, दर्शन- वेद से मार्क्स तक, राम की कहानी राम की जुबानी, मनुस्मृति क्यों जलाई, बौद्ध धर्म एक बुद्धिवादी अध्ययन, बौद्ध जीवन पद्धति,जो भुला न सका, ३१ दिन में पालि, पालि शव्द कोष,सारिपुत्र मौद्गाल्ययान् की साँची,अनागरिक धरमपाल आदि .

My research interest includes Theravada Abhidhamma Philosophy, Theravada Buddhist Psychology, Theravada Buddhist Para-Psychology, Theravada Buddhist Eschatology, and Pali (Language and Literature). My main focus of research is to develop a relationship of Buddhist teachings in modern context mainly in the light of topics related to Engaged Buddhism.
